Thornwick Lake Junior Fun Night Thursday 5th August 2011
13 Juniors entered the Fun Night event. The night started off bright and dry but within half an hour the rain poured down! But it did not deter the youngsters from their fishing! Especially for Josh Cooper who fought for an hour with a fish, a mirror carp weighing 14lb 3oz the biggest fish to be caught in this event for the last 4 years!
RESULTS
1st - Natasha Ford 122cm - Aged 8 years from Pontefract
2nd - Joe Powell 120cm Aged 14 years from Featherstone
3rd - Nathan Peachey 77cm Aged 12 years from Sheffield
4th - Josh Cooper 61cm Aged 12 years from Cleckheaton
5th - Allan Layfield 18cm Aged 9 years from Lake District
6th - Jonathon Dodds 17cm Aged 7 years from Leeds
All the other juniors failed to catch but all of them still received a prize. Thanks to our main sponsors of the Match Turnstone Baits of the Bait and Tackle Kiosk by the south pier on the Harbour in Bridlington. Thanks also to Matthew from Mr Wriggler for supplying the Maggots! -

Open 8:00 AM till 16:30 PM Or 8:00 AM till dusk with your own rods.
Day ticket £5.50 for Adults £4.25 for juniors Rod hire available £25 per day £20 returnable deposit.
Only our nets to be used when fishing £5 Deposit per day. Customers must have a valid fishing licence. Those without must obtain a licence from the Post Office.
If you are caught without a fishing licence you could be fined up to £2500.00 - A Rod Licence can be bought from your local Post Office. The nearest one is Post Office Street Flamborough. Any junior under the age of 16 fishing must be accompanied by an adult who must hold a valid fishing licence.
